Hello dear community,

I would like to ask you a question and hope for reliable answers. Our house is currently under construction and has two relatively wide windows. The widths are 2.8 m (9 feet 2 inches) and 3.03 m (9 feet 11 inches). These windows will be fitted with exterior granite window sills in Rosa Beta. The thickness of the window sill is 3 cm (1¼ inches) and the depth is 25 cm (10 inches).

Now my question to you is: Is it possible to have single-piece window sills under these conditions, or is it necessary or advisable to install two window sills per window at these widths?

I believe I have the same material at both of my terrace exits, which are just as wide or even wider. Therefore, it is definitely possible to get the window sills in one piece, since they are like that for me as well 🙂

Natural stone/marble/granite is available in all conceivable thicknesses and lengths; as always, it is simply a matter of cost. Whether a window sill is split or installed as one piece makes no significant difference and has no notable advantages or disadvantages. 🙂
