Hello
I am getting a Tesla Model 3.
Which wall box would you recommend?
The wall box would be mounted outdoors at the parking space (no garage, no carport).
I have the following questions:
Should I choose a wall box with a fixed cable or one with a socket (but with a lockable cable)?
Should I choose a wall box with up to 22 kW or just 11 kW?
What additional features should a wall box offer?
The wall box must have RFID security (it will be outdoors and accessible to everyone) and must include all safety mechanisms, such as DC fault protection.
Can you possibly recommend a wall box?

We will receive our i4 only next year, but we have already decided on the Easee Home. So far, I have only tested it with the neighbors’ Polestar, and I like it very much. One feature I find particularly interesting is the API, which allows you to both monitor and control the charging station…
One charging box will be installed at my parking space next to the house, and one box at my workplace in an industrial area (where no one is around during weekends and nights).
Is vandalism a common problem with wall boxes, or does it happen only very rarely?
A key might also be sufficient as an access control measure.

Since I have a Fronius inverter, I have now also ordered the Wattpilot from Fronius to ensure compatibility.
An alternative would have been the Keba, but their 900 model would not have been sufficient. Keba works together with Loxone.
The inverter controls the Wattpilot to optimize energy charging. That was more important to me than the price.

Subsidies for wallboxes have been stopped :-(Hmm?We have the ABL wallbox for our e-Golf. It’s just installed in the driveway and is always on. I might deactivate it if I go on a longer vacation, but at 11 kW it takes quite a long time (and standing out) to cause any real financial harm. It’s not like it’s 4€ per hour that can add up significantly.
