Hello
I am getting a Tesla Model 3.
Which wall box would you recommend?
The wall box would be mounted outdoors at the parking space (no garage, no carport).
I have the following questions:
Should I choose a wall box with a fixed cable or one with a socket (but with a lockable cable)?
Should I choose a wall box with up to 22 kW or just 11 kW?
What additional features should a wall box offer?
The wall box must have RFID security (it will be outdoors and accessible to everyone) and must include all safety mechanisms, such as DC fault protection.
Can you possibly recommend a wall box?

That depends on the new government.
Just because I have a wall box, I’m not going to buy an electric car for that reason alone.
I was at the dealer yesterday... a hybrid would cost 44,000 euros (about 47,000 US dollars) the way I would want it... and it’s not even an SUV.
Even with subsidies, I would still be over 35,000 euros (about 37,500 US dollars).

Even with incentives, I’d still be over 35,000 euros (about $38,000). I also looked into an electric car. Personally, I find the Skoda Enyaq iV80 very stylish. It would be plenty for the three of us and costs around 35,000 euros (about $38,000) including incentives. I would sell my beloved GLC and pay the difference, but with rising fuel prices, it’s definitely worth considering.

I would be giving up my beloved GLC plus a remaining balance, but with rising fuel prices, it’s definitely worth considering. That’s about what I would expect for the Astra in the Ultimate trim, so almost fully equipped.
At the moment, however, the house construction and ongoing expenses need to be on solid ground first.

At the moment, the priority is to have the house construction and ongoing costs under control. The same applies to us. First the house construction. See what’s left over, and then decide.
