Hey. There are so many topics with so many different types of flooring. I would really like to know which ones you use and how you manage with them. I mean, for example: living areas (living room, office, bedrooms), kitchen, bathroom.
Because I’m currently thinking about which floorings we should get when we eventually buy or build a house. I’d really be interested to hear.
Best regards 🙂 abelwagn

In our current apartment (an old farmhouse), we have old wooden floorboards in the dining room (painted blue 😀), and tiles in the kitchen, bathroom, and hallway. The children's rooms and the bedroom have oak parquet flooring.
If we ever build a house, my dream would be dark tiles in the bathroom, kitchen, and hallway, with parquet flooring in all other rooms. Ideally, I would like rough-sawn planks, but I think they might be too thick for underfloor heating…

Hi,
so far we have tiled the entire ground floor, including the living room. If you have underfloor heating, your feet won't get cold either.
Parquet flooring is really a matter of taste. After a few years, you can see the wear, though it also depends on who’s walking on it (in our case, a dog and two children). In the new house, we will also have tiles in the bedroom, but these will be wood-look tiles. Maybe that’s an alternative?
