ᐅ Do we need to hire an architect, or should I handle it myself?

an architect does charge quite a bit of money, so I was wondering if I could do it myself, or if I am required to have an architect?

I don’t think you necessarily need one, but you also have to keep in mind what that actually means. You have to do all the planning on your own.

A good architect can save you a lot of trouble. They have extensive experience and know what to pay attention to. If you want to do everything on your own, you should be aware that it will cause you a lot of stress, and architects are not that expensive anyway.

Not that cheap? I think it is. With that money, I could take the whole family on a two-week vacation.

But you can really stress yourself out with that, I didn’t want to deal with it. Building a house is expensive, and you have to be aware of that. For example, I had no idea what an architect does or where to handle different tasks.

Unfortunately, that’s true. I also have no idea what needs to be done or when. But I think it’s possible to figure it out, although it will definitely take time, but it saves a lot in the end.
