In our new build, we have a serious mold problem in the concrete basement. Despite regular ventilation, it just doesn’t get any drier. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a reliable ventilation or drying device for the basement? I want to finally solve this issue because in its current state, the basement is unusable.

I would also be driven crazy if the basement was constantly wet. However, I think finding the cause is not that easy. Only a professional can identify it.

If a drying device is needed, then just rent one. I wouldn’t buy it.

Renting or buying—that needs to be calculated carefully. A damp basement is not good, especially during the winter months.

But the moisture has to come from somewhere. This needs to be identified.

We had a water pipe inside the wall that was leaking. It only dripped, but that was enough. The constant moisture then led to mold. A dehumidifier was rented.
