ᐅ By when do you need to arrange temporary construction power?

Hello,
I have a question regarding temporary construction power. Up to which stage of construction is it required to use temporary power, and from when can we have the regular electricity meter installed?

We are now in the middle of interior work (interior plastering) and have a lockable construction door. Wouldn’t it be more cost-effective not to install temporary power in the first place, or am I missing something?

Well, no idea, maybe from the original poster’s comment asking how long temporary construction power is needed, and post #9 that said it costs 3€ per day, so not worth mentioning? However, you’re right, it was not stated that the thing would just sit unused, I was mistaken there. Mea culpa.

NRW is different. Our architects said that last winter there were about 4-5 days when no construction took place. Interior plastering apparently isn’t possible below 5°C (41°F). Around 0°C (32°F), groundworks aren’t usually prevented unless the ground is frozen through, which is rare here.

I still remember our architect mentioning the week-long construction break in winter—maybe he originally comes from NRW [emoji6]
Ideal temperatures for the concrete slab are around 10°C (50°F), but it’s also workable at 5°C (41°F). Below -2°C (28°F) it’s more difficult unless extra measures are taken. After about 3 days, the slab is generally frost-resistant. Here, temperatures only range from about -4°C (25°F) at night to +3°C (37°F) during the day. That makes it too risky. In the southeast, conditions are worse; in other areas, including NRW, I would be more relaxed [emoji4] But there’s always something [emoji6]

You are referring to a post from 2012, while I am referring to the current discussion.

Oops. That’s the downside of Tapatalk—you can’t easily tell the date of the first post. I only see a "new thread," see "four pages," quickly read through them... and assume it’s a "new thread" and therefore current... lesson learned.

Who is digging up skeletons here? The house construction should be completed by now.
