I have been reading along here for a while and have received a lot of useful information. Now I have a question for the experts: We are going to build with unfilled Poroton T9 blocks (36.5cm (14.4 inches)), and I’m concerned about cutting these blocks. Renting a Jumbo 900 saw is extremely expensive—would an alligator saw (430mm (17 inches)) from a well-known yellow brand also work? I’m not quite sure how much easier the Jumbo saw makes the job or how often you actually need to cut blocks during the construction phase.
So: Does anyone here have experience with this?
Thanks in advance for your answers,
Best regards,
schroeder

an alligator cutter would work. The problem is always making straight cuts, especially for depth cuts. I personally bought a used band saw. It’s ideal and can also be used for insulation and wood.

But when it comes to stone cutting, you hardly can avoid Lissmac.
