We will soon need a temporary power distribution board for the construction site. We can either collect quotes for rental, delivery, and installation... or buy one ourselves (used, for example on eBay or local classified ads) and have it installed, then sell it afterwards.
What is the best/most cost-effective option?
What kind of temporary power distribution board do we need? 63A / 32A / 16A or 400V? With or without a meter?
How big/heavy is it? Can I pick it up and transport it myself by car, or is a truck required?
Of course, I will not do the installation myself (I am not an electrician), so it would be done by a professional.
Who is responsible for the installation/connection - the local utility company or "our" regular electrician?
Thanks, and best regards,
Pepsan

By now I have already bought a used temporary power distribution box myself. I still need the cables. And? How much did you pay?
Not every electrician is authorized to connect this equipment. You will have to make an effort and check the local regulations.
It’s possible that you might end up paying more.
After all, the cost calculations are mixed estimates, and if I remember correctly, the rental fee was the lowest part.
300€ for the temporary power box, compared to 111€/month for rental.
Of course, I have to put effort into coordinating the installations now. And not every electrician can handle it.
Yes, calculations are often mixed estimates and so on...
Naturally, we plan to sell the temporary power box again at the end.
By the way... the connection point is already on the building plot.

Hello, construction power and construction power box are the same, I believe.
No, construction power is requested from the utility company, but not the construction power box.I actually wrote something completely different, you just had to read carefully...
