Tuwok197018 Nov 2024 09:10Hello forum community,
I am currently looking for a connection cabinet and a temporary power distribution board for my construction site. I want to buy these two components because renting them for about 2 years is too expensive.
I already have an electrical contractor lined up for the installation.
There are various manufacturers of these cabinets, such as Merz, Walther, Steidele, Elektra Tailfingen, and others.
Are there any significant differences between the manufacturers? Or does it basically not matter which manufacturer you buy the components from?
There are some price differences, in fact. In my opinion, Elektra is the most expensive, and Steidele the most affordable.
I’m having trouble deciding. Does Elektra have any clear advantages over the other manufacturers?
Does anyone have any tips for me?
Thanks in advance.
Regards

Buchsbaum06618 Nov 2024 09:27What differences could there be? The meters, circuit breakers, and sockets are all purchased components from various manufacturers.
I would get an affordable, used temporary power distribution board.
The connection capacity and circuit protection need to be appropriate—16A, 32A, or even 68 amperes. But your electrician will inform you which model to choose.

I would recommend getting an affordable used temporary power distribution box.
The connection capacity and protective devices need to match, whether 16A, 32A, or even 68 amps. But your electrician will tell you which model to choose. That’s exactly what I thought. Thanks.
