We were offered a maintenance contract for the temporary power distribution box. The maintenance is supposed to be carried out monthly, and an inspection report will be created. Cost per month: 142.80€.
Is such a maintenance contract necessary?

At our place, the electrician from the general contractor installed the unit. I didn’t even have a contract with the electrician. So it’s not my problem what they’re doing there.
I only paid the local utility provider for:
- Conversion from house connection to construction connection (dismantling)
- Conversion from construction connection back to house connection
Everything else was completely irrelevant to me – whether there was a seal on it or not.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this is totally over the top. Especially since the temporary construction power distributor should also have a TÜV sticker indicating the next inspection date.Especially considering the likely actual costs for the temporary construction power, the amount seems pretty outrageous. 😀

Is the general contractor or the client responsible for temporary construction power?
