ᐅ Looking for a general contractor in the Göttingen/Kassel area

I am planning to buy a plot of land near Hann. Münden to build a single-family house with a basement. So far, I have requested quotes from local and national companies specializing in solid construction. I am looking for a single-family home with about 150-160 sqm (1600-1700 sq ft) of living space plus a finished basement.

Regarding the basement, I have not been able to reach an agreement with any of the companies. For a basement of around 80-90 sqm (860-970 sq ft), I am being quoted a flat price of 100,000 euros, which I find difficult to understand. I am not asking for any luxury features; I requested a very simple basement. Additionally, the soil conditions are quite good. I definitely do not want to do without a basement.

Have you had similar experiences? Alternatively, I am considering ordering a prefabricated basement from one of the six companies and having a regional general contractor handle the shell construction, as long as this option saves me a significant amount of money.

I can't recommend a specific company, but with some additional information, I might be able to give you more insight regarding the 100,000 euros.

If you provide me with more detailed information, feel free to send me a private message, and I can do a rough calculation. It's not that simple to answer because I don’t know the heights and groundwater levels. Is there already a building specification or a soil report? If someone has already given you an offer, I assume there is.

If you’re interested, just get in touch. One thing to keep in mind: basements, especially in areas with groundwater, are expensive.

We are building in Bovenden with the company Bautreff. Move-in is planned for August 2020.
However, we are building without a basement because the groundwater level is quite high (development area "Im Dannensee"). We can recommend the company; they are based in Seeburg.
