Hello everyone!

I recently got a greenhouse. It is installed on a concrete strip foundation. The aluminum frame sits directly on the concrete.

I would like to seal the connection between the frame and the concrete foundation.

At first, I considered using an appropriate silicone sealant. However, friends advised against it because of concerns about durability and mold growth.

Instead, they recommended using a flexible adhesive sealant, like a construction adhesive. For example, products from brands such as Sica.

It is important to me that the solution is reversible and does not cause corrosion to either the concrete or the metal. I had already considered this when choosing the silicone.

Does anyone have experience with this? Or perhaps some suggestions? Thank you very much for your help.

You can use compressed sealing tape. You can also simply leave it out. We didn’t seal this area, and it works just fine. The few "ventilation slots" don’t cause any issues.
