Alberthafen12 Jul 2009 10:32Hello and good day,
we have a double garage with two up-and-over doors.
During heavy rain, water flows through the rubber seal at the bottom edge of the door.
Is there a way to create an internal seal to form a kind of barrier?
To save costs, we did not install a screed, and we are now looking for information on whether there might be sealing tape or adhesive that can be applied to concrete.
Thank you
Alberthafen

Hello Alberthafen,
perhaps you have the option to screw a flat aluminum profile onto the concrete beneath the rubber seal of the gate. I would cushion this with a permanently elastic sealing material before securing it firmly.
Outside the garage door, it might also be advisable to install a drainage channel if necessary, to divert rainwater and meltwater and allow it to seep away.
Kind regards from the Osnabrück region
