Hello everyone,
The foundation slab is finished, and the Katja Sprint installation is coming up.
We don’t have Hauff connection funnels but conventional 100mm (4 inch) PVC pipes embedded in the foundation slab.
What is the best way to install the Katja Sprint around these pipes? And how should we best seal the pipes afterward? Should we seal the pipes first and then place the Sprint on top?
What is the best method for this? Are there ready-made solutions available, or do you have to come up with a creative approach?
Thanks a lot for your help

Our general contractor informed us in writing that if the basement drainage pipes are installed without Hauff connection funnels, the sealing of the pipes can only be partially effective, and moisture may potentially diffuse through.
We now need to additionally seal the basement drainage pipes to Katja Sprint. Knauf connection tape was suggested to us. However, since the pipes barely protrude, this will likely be very difficult.
Therefore, I am looking for alternative options.

Extending the pipes well above the finished floor level is not an option? You or the general contractor have to do that anyway. It’s not ideal in Katja's case. Knauf doesn’t offer sleeves for that...We do have to extend the pipes above the finished floor level, or the pipes are partly embedded in the wall (we are getting a prefab house).

We need to extend the pipes beyond the screed, or in some places the pipes are embedded in the wall (we are getting a prefabricated house). Then you or the general contractor can patch it using a sealing tape. It’s not ideal, but it works. Alternatively, you could report a defect that no connection funnels were installed. They are probably missing from the specifications as well.
On a side note: In our development (22 houses), none of these were used. However, we are also several meters (yards) away from the groundwater or seepage water level.
