ᐅ Room temperature control for heating zones: combined or separate

DHoenigHello house building community…
I’m glad I found this forum 😀
Our new single-family house construction will start soon. The majority of the work will be done by the contractor, but we still have some tasks to do ourselves, such as the electrical installation.
As part of the electrical work, I need to install the room temperature control for the underfloor heating. Our open-plan living and dining area with kitchen will be about 60m² (645 sq ft) in size, and it’s expected that several heating circuits will be installed there. At the moment, I assume there will be at least three heating circuits for the living/dining area.
And here are my first questions:
Does it make sense for the three heating circuits to be controlled together using one room temperature controller?
Or is it better if each heating circuit has its own room controller, so I can heat in “zones”?
Regarding the installation of the room temperature control
I would like to have the temperature control installed centrally in the living/dining area. If I use one controller per heating circuit for this area, that would logically mean three controllers mounted next to or below each other, plus possibly an additional controller for the kitchen. I don’t like that setup, so I’m looking for a room temperature control system that allows me to control several heating circuits individually and separately. Does something like that exist?
Best regards to everyone in the forum 🙂

Hello,
Best regards.
DHoenig schrieb:The appropriate number of heating circuits depends, among other things, on the room heating load, the planned heat generator, as well as hydraulic needs and requirements.
... Currently, I assume there will be at least 3 heating circuits for the living/dining area.
DHoenig schrieb:Yes, this is the case in most situations.
... Does it make sense for the three heating circuits to be controlled together by one room temperature controller?
DHoenig schrieb:Zoning within a room can be achieved, for example, with underfloor heating/radiant heating by varying the heat flux density of the heating surfaces. Additional control effort is usually unnecessary. Any possibly required or desired mechanical ventilation with heat recovery should be taken into account accordingly.
... Wouldn’t it be better if each heating circuit had its own room controller so that I can heat in “zones”?
DHoenig schrieb:Almost anything is available! Whether that actually makes sense in each individual case is a completely different matter.
... I don’t like that idea at all, so I am looking for a room temperature controller that allows me to control multiple heating circuits separately. Does something like that exist?
Best regards.
