Hello everyone and good morning,
I have been considering for several weeks whether to install a radio in the bathroom on the upper floor or not. If yes, which model would be best and how should I handle the speakers? If I do install a radio, I would like to have two ceiling speakers, not placed directly next to the radio unit...
However, I already have a TV connection and network cables in the bathroom. Sooner or later, a waterproof TV (does it really need to be fully waterproof if it won’t be exposed to splashing water?) will also be installed there. That also allows for radio reception. Is it really worth spending around 200 euros on a radio then?
Who has a radio in their bathroom and can’t imagine living without it? Who has a TV there and mainly uses it for sound or news during their morning routine?
Best regards,
Michael

...I once had a suspended ceiling installed in the bathroom with two white car speakers built in. In a niche behind a venetian blind, the washing machine was hidden with two shelves above it. That's where the CD radio was placed.
It actually sounded quite good!
Plug-in socket radios didn’t sound anything like that.
Nowadays, the bathroom has been renovated. Speakers connected to a phone sound at least as good as those plug-in radios.
But Bluetooth speakers are excellent and are always nearby anyway:
While lying in the bathtub, I place the tablet on a stand and watch streaming TV or YouTube.
Basically, this kind of setup can be found in almost every household...

I also belong to the generation that grew up without all this – let’s say, modern stuff. I wouldn’t need it in the bathroom either, but my wife, who likes to lie in the bathtub for hours, thinks it’s pretty cool.
Now she has a Bose SoundLink Mini II, so she can also make phone calls and watch movies on the tablet – well, just modern gadgets.
Okay, I understand when there are special requests. Just last week, my beloved fully automatic coffee machine broke down. A disaster!
I always wonder how I managed to live without this technical stuff in the past.

I always wonder how I used to live without this technical gadget. Oh dear, I feel for you!
Before I had my automatic coffee machine, I brewed coffee manually using a porcelain Melitta filter!
I still do that when I need a large amount at once.
I no longer drink that weak coffee from a standard machine!

I love my Siemens/Porsche coffee machine, which is now almost 15 years old and brews extra hot.
