ᐅ Prices for crushed stone including compaction

Hello,

we are considering having our driveway covered with crushed stone (50cm (20 inches) depth, grain size 16/32) and compacted. We asked a construction company and were given a price of 76 euros per square meter for the finished compacted surface. The price includes the crushed stone and delivery. Is this a reasonable price? Would it be better to ask a landscaping contractor instead, or not?

For us, the net cost was 52€/m³ (cubic meter) including RCL.

Ask a landscape gardener. It seems expensive to me. Robson’s price looks more realistic. Karsten

A landscape gardener is more affordable.

For us, it would be 76 euros for half a cubic meter of compacted gravel. That also seems quite expensive to me, but I have no idea what something like this usually costs.

Our builder agreed to do it right away, the excavating machines were already on site anyway, and gravel trucks were ordered (I paid about 250€ including delivery, so around 11€/m3 (8.4 cubic yards)). The gravel was then immediately spread and compacted.
