I am honestly shocked right now. Our construction company just informed me that they want 21.4% more money due to price increases in the building industry. At the moment, I am still stunned and can’t think clearly.

Do you select samples at the company’s headquarters? And who do you deal with there—regular staff or the boss? Is the company large or small? Is there an owner? Do you perhaps already know them?
I would first insist on having a meeting with the boss. During that meeting, politely but firmly point out that you cannot accept the situation as it is.

This sounds familiar to me. The general contractor doesn’t start with a K... or does it? Yes, it does. At least five words have now been reached.

I’d be interested to know what your experience was with the company and how things worked out for you. I’m still hoping for an amicable settlement, but I guess that probably doesn’t make sense for the other party.
