Baufreund201819 Jun 2018 19:49Good evening everyone,
we are currently planning to build a multi-family house with 7 units (approximately 700 sqm (7,535 sq ft) of living space).
So far, the plan was to install an air-source or ground-source heat pump in the house.
On the property, there is also another two-family house and a horticultural business.
I am now considering whether it might make more sense to install a combined heat and power plant (CHP) or a wood chip heating system at the business and then supply the two adjacent houses via district heating.
The new building is about 65 m (213 ft) away from the boiler room, and the two-family house is 27 m (89 ft) away.
The two-family house has a gas heating system with an energy consumption of about 5000 kWh.
The business consumes approximately 15,000–20,000 liters (3,963–5,283 gallons) of heating oil annually and currently has a 500 kW oil boiler from the 1980s installed. The annual electricity consumption in the business area is around 15,000 kWh.
If any further information is needed, I am naturally available. :-)
Thank you in advance for your help!
Have a nice evening and
best regards!
