ᐅ Multi-Utility Entry: Yes or No?

Hello,

this topic has already been discussed in the forum. However, I still cannot form a final opinion on it. Does a manifold system (MSH) really make sense or not? The alternative would be, for example, using PVC pipes in the basement, right? In the end, it all comes down to the same thing, or what is the added value of a manifold system? From there, the supply still needs to be distributed to the rest of the house anyway!?

For us, the construction company would handle that.
Yes, you then have to distribute the connections inside the house from there.
With underground pipes, they are already laid accordingly.

One advantage of the MSP (I'm not an expert) could be its airtightness. Especially for waterproofing bathtubs or against pressurized water, an MSP can probably be installed to achieve a very high level of watertightness.

At least that is the most commonly cited reason for its use. I haven’t found any other advantages so far. On the other hand, I haven’t heard of any issues with PVC pipes (known as uPVC or sewer pipes in some regions) in this regard. You’d probably need to ask an expert.

Exactly. I don’t see any disadvantage with PVC sewer pipes. Ensuring they are watertight shouldn’t be a problem. The advantages, however, are greater flexibility (for example, where the connection comes out of the floor) and lower costs.

Try asking your grandparents if their basement pipes are leaking. I’ll take a big risk here and say: the answer will be “no.”

However, I would also appreciate if someone could give me a legitimate reason, then I would know what I spent the 1000€ on.

With us at MSP, three conduits are used and one is still empty and sealed. I have reserved this empty conduit for an electric car or other use.
