Hello!

We are considering the living room furniture. Currently very trendy and also nice, we like modular wall units that come in several components. For example, a TV unit, a display cabinet, and a sideboard.

In product photos, these are usually placed about 20-30cm (8-12 inches) apart from each other on the wall.

Now, I’m hesitant to order such a unit because we like to use a robot vacuum cleaner in the living room, and I’m worried that dust or lint balls will accumulate in those 20-30cm (8-12 inches) gaps between the cabinets, which would mean I have to clean manually every day.

Can anyone share their experience? Does anyone have a multi-piece wall unit like this?

Regarding those wall units, I can’t really say, but about everyday use with the robot vacuum:

Occasional manual vacuuming is necessary anyway, since the robot (at least our Xiaomi) doesn’t properly clean the corners. This is unavoidable due to its design. We also took great care to avoid such issues (raising the couch with hockey pucks, installing flush baseboards), but even so, regular vacuuming can’t be avoided.

I would arrange it however you like and just use a handheld vacuum every few days.
