Hello,
I want to repaint and currently have two different latex paints from two manufacturers.
The base color is gray, which I don’t like very much yet. So I also have an older red paint from another brand that I’d like to mix in a bit. It’s not a color tint but also a wall paint.
I have already tested that the color result works, but my main concern is the health aspect. Could any fumes or chemical reactions occur from mixing these, which might be problematic especially for someone with a weakened immune system or illness? There is no allergy to the last ingredient in both products.
I would really appreciate an answer, as we have no experience with this. You can see the ingredients in the photos.
If it’s allowed to name the manufacturers here, I will add that as well.
Thank you very much!!

Those are chemically identical paints. Mix them.

Oh, okay. Thanks. I really have no knowledge at all when it comes to the chemistry.

But first, put on an aluminum hard hat!

Now, objectively speaking...

The paints are water-based (to distinguish them from varnishes and paints with solvent bases). At room temperature, no fumes are produced; not even during mixing.

A brief note: Water also acts as a solvent here. When referring to "solvent-based" paints and varnishes, organic solvents are meant.
