Hello,
thank you for your reply. I already called the site manager, but he just snapped at me.
I’m not usually sensitive, but the construction site looks like a dump. I have now set a deadline and informed him in writing... I hope this is the right approach. What would you advise me to do if nothing happens again?
Thanks in advance
Jasmin

Legally, there are few options, but perhaps—after consulting with you—the neighbors might complain. Also, a photo in the newspaper showing the company sign could quickly help resolve the issue. However, there is a risk that the contractor might then suspect you as the source and become upset.

I completely understand your frustration – nothing is worse than a chaotic construction site. However, this question is difficult to answer in general terms. What have you contractually agreed with the construction company? If waste disposal is included in the contract, I would inform the company in writing about the problem and set a deadline for waste removal. That should help. If nothing is specified in the contract, you will have to handle it yourselves.

Bauarbeiter14 Jul 2008 14:27Regarding the statement that his men are not responsible for this... EVERY craftsman who makes a mess must also clean it up. These are the large construction companies that think they can allow themselves such behavior. From my own experience, I can tell you that regular tradespeople like electricians, roofers, or plumbers, for example, sweep up the dust after drilling inside the house and then wipe it down with a damp cloth. They even pick up their cigarette butts on the construction site to keep the place tidy.
