Hello,

we have a new multi-family house with a heating system, air pump, solar thermal system, and water softener installed.

1- Should these systems be serviced regularly (annually)?
2- What would the approximate cost of such maintenance be?

Wow, a multi-family house posting in the forum – you don’t see that every day 🙂.

Received the utility cost statement and right now I’m so pissed 😱? I only see an annual maintenance cost for the water softener – I don’t know of any required maintenance for the rest.

No, it’s a two-family house and we have no idea, nor a property manager. It’s like that 🙄

@HilfeHilfe We understand your intention in this question, but it seemed to me that you usually express yourself in complete and clear sentences 😉

Air pumps are available for bicycles. I see the maintenance requirement as once a year after the winter storage, mainly for the bike. And if the air pump is detachable, you can keep the seals flexible by applying some lubricant gel. ;-)

My pump requires maintenance, but it is a pump with a ground loop and no air. It costs around 170 euros per year, assuming the cells in Oberstübl are still working. 😉
