Hello! I have four 60cm (24 inches) Omlopp strips that need to be installed under four wall cabinets. However, the power cables should not be routed backward toward the cabinet backs but instead to the left, toward the left end of the wall cabinets. This means that behind the second light (counting from the right) there is one cable, behind the third light two, and behind the fourth light three cables. It’s going to be quite tricky to fix them that way.

Is there a way to connect the Omlopp strips directly to each other, or does each strip really need its own power feed?

I’m about to unscrew one strip to check, but perhaps someone has already done this before me… 🙂

All OMLOPP units require a separate power supply, at least in their original condition. Perhaps the Utrusta or RATIONELL lighting series would be more suitable if you want to connect several lamps in a row.

All OMLOPP lights require a separate supply line. At least in their original condition.
Maybe the UTRUSTA or RATIONELL lighting series would be better suited if you want to connect several lamps into one long fixture.

Yes, in their original condition, but maybe it’s possible to modify them. Has anyone done this successfully?

UTRUSTA or RATIONELL are not really a solution either, as their dimensions are nowhere near as discreet as the OMLOPP lights.

An alternative might be an LED strip from a third-party supplier, but it would also need a white aluminum profile no thicker than 1 cm (0.4 inches), and the light should be just as bright and evenly distributed as with the OMLOPP lights. Any suggestions…?
