Hello everyone, in our living room of 40sqm (430 sq ft) plus a 15sqm (160 sq ft) open kitchen, the temperature is currently around 22°C (72°F) and the humidity level is between 30-40%. The underfloor heating is on, but not in the kitchen. We ventilate 2-3 times a day and do not have a mechanical ventilation system. What can we do to increase the humidity to around 50%? We already have plants, but what do you think about humidifiers? Is there one you would recommend or any other solutions? I mainly notice the dryness around my eyes.

If then only Venta. There is nothing else that is better in terms of health.

Can you quickly explain why? I'm now also considering getting one in advance... Thanks!

Venta explains this quite well themselves. It is the principle of cold evaporation.

We now have a Venta LW45 at home. Currently, the unit is running in the shower bathroom at setting 2, operating 24/7.

The exhaust air is being extracted, so the moisture is transferred into the system through the enthalpy exchanger.
This results in a consistent indoor humidity of around 55%.
We need to cover a living area of about 190m² (2,045 sq ft).

It remains to be seen how this will develop once it gets really cold outside.
Although setting 3 is still available as a reserve, the device becomes quite noisy at that level, and with the bathroom door closed, the air tends to get noticeably humid.

Right now, we have a constant 55% humidity level.
We need to supply a good 190m² (2,045 sq ft).

We still have level 3 as a reserve, but the device gets quite loud then, and with the bathroom door closed, the air tends to get quite humid.

That’s an interesting idea. I’ll have to try that. We have ours running at level 1 in the living room.

Could you possibly share how the humidity has changed for you at colder temperatures?

We currently have only about 30%, which is too low for me...

By now, it is colder, with daytime temperatures between 1 and 3 degrees Celsius (34 to 37 degrees Fahrenheit). Last night it dropped to -5°C (23°F).
Currently, we have 52% humidity.
