Hello,

We have purchased a new wall unit. Now we want to adjust the laminate flooring as well as the wall paint behind the wall unit. Due to the many shades in the living room, this is difficult for us.
Attached you will find photos so you can get an impression.

I appreciate any suggestions.

Bright living room with cream-colored sofas, armchair, coffee table, plants, window with curtains.

Thank you for the quick reply

The new wall unit has a brushed oak finish. The colors might look a bit different in the photo, but
Exactly, the laminate no longer matches the color. That’s why we want a new one. However, it is difficult to find the right shade.
We have now decided to go for a dark laminate and paint the wall behind the unit white.

Best regards

I think adding some color elements and dark accents would be nice! Too much wood and beige can become boring quickly. Maybe a bold carpet? Or one wall painted in color? Dark gray perhaps? It looks very stylish and also creates a great contrasting effect with all the wood!

Mediterranean colors fit well here. Since it is a fairly bright and also large living room, I would, for example, recommend a Mediterranean brown.

Hmm... it really depends on the effect you want to achieve (stylish, modern, harmonious).
For a dark laminate (walnut, for example), light sand and beige tones definitely work well as accents, and a red can also create an elegant look.
If you want a calming or stimulating effect, green shades are suitable.
Warm and harmonious atmospheres come from yellow and orange tones (apricot, mango).
To get a loft-style character, use light gray with accents in anthracite and dark red.
Now the choice is entirely yours!

Hey
I think a brown wall color would fit really well in the living room.
