Sorry, my crystal ball is currently being repaired. Which hood is that?
Best regards,

Bauknecht has been part of Whirlpool for over 25 years. Therefore, they have long lost touch with what women want.

Ikea expert, you are the best! I couldn’t find it anywhere.. The prices are really steep!

But I guess I have to deal with it. Thanks again.

If only I knew how to get that part out. It’s really tight from the inside, so I can’t reach it at all, and trying to lift it out from the outside doesn’t work either. I assume it has to be removed outward?

Unfortunately, manufacturers have been charging significantly higher prices for spare parts for several years now.
From the picture, it looks like the part is glued in place. To avoid any damage, the best approach would be to push it out from the back. It’s okay if it breaks during this process.

Ah, you mean the red part is a film with adhesive underneath? Okay, then I'll wait until the part arrives and take a look at it.

Definitely expensive, but still better than having to buy a new one.

Maybe a special adhesive is used for this. Take a closer look when you have the part, contact customer service if necessary, and report back here.

The part has arrived, and somehow I have doubts that it will fit. I absolutely cannot get the old one out either. At least, it can’t be removed from the outside. It must be taken out from the inside, but that doesn’t work because it’s completely screwed in there. I think I would have to remove the entire hood to access it from the inside. The old control unit is really solid. The new one is much thinner, and you can see in the photo that there is a circuit board behind it and an actual button. This button isn’t present on the new one; everything seems to happen on the thin circuit board when pressed. I hope you know what I mean. I’m at a loss...
