Since wet shoes are often placed there—especially in rain or snow—I’m wondering how to effectively protect the KALLAX shelf from moisture and potential water damage without compromising its appearance or storage capacity. I’m aware that particleboard is generally vulnerable to moisture, but I’m particularly interested in proven methods or helpful tips to make the shelf durable and long-lasting when it regularly comes into contact with wet shoes.
