toforsaHello,
I am looking for an insulated garden shed/tool shed made of metal or plastic.
Preferably made from PUR sandwich panels in RAL 7016 - Anthracite Grey. Dimensions: 5 x 3 meters (16.4 x 9.8 feet).
The shed should be low-maintenance. For this reason, wood is currently not an option for us.
We understand that these types of sheds are significantly more expensive than wooden garden sheds/tool sheds.
Who knows some manufacturers of these kinds of sheds?
Or can some sheds be insulated afterwards? How have you solved this issue?
Thank you very much for your advice.
Best regards

Therefore, wood is initially not an option for us. What is the purpose of the house? In other words, why does it need to be insulated? You could also insulate a simple wooden cabin from the outside.
I want to use it for storing flowers during the winter. Additionally, I will install a frost guard in it.
Furthermore, bicycles, lawnmowers, garden tools, and other equipment will be stored there.
A wooden house is not an option for us because it needs to be painted about once a year. Also, plastic or metal houses have a more attractive design.
The selection of manufacturers for custom metal houses (made from PUR sandwich panels) or plastic houses seems very limited.
Does anyone know of manufacturers or companies that produce these insulated garden sheds/equipment storage buildings?

We are aware that these houses are significantly more expensive than those wooden garden sheds/outdoor storage sheds.I was just at gartenxxl yesterday. The metal sheds were quite a bit cheaper than the wooden sheds.
Hello,
the company Biohort offers something like that. The "Casanova" model series consists of 40 mm (1.6 inch) sandwich panels with steel sheet on the outside. However, the roof is not insulated but can be easily retrofitted. Without roof insulation, it is NOT frost-free!
They offer all kinds of options, even complete wall panels made of insulated glass. They don’t call it a garden shed but rather an outbuilding. That fits as well...
The prices are definitely quite high; for a 3 x 3 m (10 x 10 ft) building with a few extras, you can easily reach €10,000.
We bought one used as a showroom model, so that was within a "normal" price range...
Best regards,
Andreas
