Hello everyone,
my neighbor suggested that I lay the sewage pipes (KG pipes) directly in gravel.
Is this feasible, or does it have to be sand? Does gravel damage the KG pipes? Are there any standards or regulations for this? I thought KG pipes are stable enough to be bedded in gravel.
Thank you very much and best regards from BaWü

Crushed gravel consists of angular particles. So, it is sharp-edged. I would not want to deviate from the usual sand.

I would do it; I don’t know of any case where gravel has damaged a 1 kg pipe.

Why would it be advantageous to install it in gravel?

Maybe not ideal, but crushed stone might currently be leftover at the construction site ^^

Exactly, it is at the neighbor’s disposal.

@seat88 Have you done this several times before, or how do you know that it works? Because you said you don’t know of any case where it caused a defect.
