Hello everyone,
my neighbor suggested that I lay the sewage pipes (KG pipes) directly in gravel.
Is this feasible, or does it have to be sand? Does gravel damage the KG pipes? Are there any standards or regulations for this? I thought KG pipes are stable enough to be bedded in gravel.
Thank you very much and best regards from BaWü

A trailer load of sand might cost around €30. Well. That may be true. But you save on renting a trailer, time, and €30. And if the gravel is at the neighbor’s place, who says I could have it, then I just ask. Because maybe someone here can give me a definite answer.
We also installed the pipes in crushed stone.
Only the water, electricity, and internet service lines at the building entrance were laid in compacted sand.

I would definitely avoid using gravel.
