We are currently building and I have a question regarding the screed height.

We have a 60sqm (645sq ft) garage, and in the back part of the garage (about 20sqm / 215sq ft) we want to set up a party room. The drywall contractor will separate the garage accordingly with a wall.

We plan to pour an 8cm (3 inch) thick screed in the party room and 6cm (2.4 inch) in the front area of the garage where the vehicle is parked.

Is 8cm (3 inch) screed in the party room sufficient to prevent cold feet and the like? What do you think?

You can install insulation beneath your screed so that 8 cm (3 inches) is completely sufficient.
