Kimi190Hello,
I want to install a new countertop on the bar in my party room.
The dimensions of the board should be 145x50 cm (57x20 inches).
My questions are:
- What thickness should I choose? 19 or 28 mm (3/4 or 1 1/8 inches)?
- Should I use a decorative chipboard panel or a worktop?
- Where can I get such a board cut to size including edge banding, possibly online and at a good price?
- Approximately how much does a custom board like this cost online, at a hardware store, or from a carpenter?
Thanks for your help!

Hello Kimi
Shipping costs get really high with online measurements.
Go to a home improvement store that offers wood cutting services. They also do edge banding. Plus, you can see which panel you like best in person.
Choose the thicker one. I wouldn’t worry about the small extra cost.
