I’m having a little discussion again with my electrician on site and would like a third opinion:
The window installers fitted the windows with exterior-mounted electric roller shutters. The cable for this roller shutter then comes inside at the top corner and hangs loose there.
Now the electrician wants to route this cable to the connection boxes installed in the window frame. He has already drilled through the masonry to the cables and pulled them through. About 2cm (1 inch) of cable is still visible; the rest is hidden inside the wall.
I’m concerned that once the plasterer finishes plastering the reveals, the cables won’t be replaceable anymore. The electrician says he can’t do it any other way because otherwise, he would have to drill within the width of the window frame, which must be done before the windows are installed.
So, who is wrong here? Did the site manager drop the ball?
Best regards,
Roger
