Hello,

we have a major issue with our Pax wardrobe with two glass sliding doors.

The wardrobe seems to have sagged on the left side. The doors open on their own, and when positioned on the left side, the bottom of the doors is so low that they come out of the track.

We checked with a spirit level and found no irregularities.

What we noticed is that the left bottom panel, which has the adjustable feet, is cracked at the connection screw to the side panel.

Can someone give us a tip? Does anyone know this problem and the corresponding solution?

If the bottom has broken out, this suggests that the cabinet was standing on its feet to compensate for height differences. The lower base cannot withstand that. The side panel has likely sagged there, causing the carcass to twist. You can try gently rocking it back and forth and placing a wedge underneath to lift the side until everything fits properly. If that doesn’t work, the carcass will probably need to be replaced.

Yes, the wardrobe stands on feet to allow for height adjustment. So, in your opinion, the left side panel would need to be shimmed by tilting it back and forth until the doors fit properly again?

This is how I would approach it. If settling has caused distortion elsewhere, it might be necessary to rebuild the cabinet. In any case, you should support all side panels that are not resting on the floor to prevent the floor from breaking out in those areas as well.
