Hello dear community,

I am currently installing my first (Ikea) kitchen and am partly feeling quite frustrated.
At the moment, I am stuck on the following point:

I bought this combination:

White kitchen cabinet with two angled fronts, modern design

Unfortunately, there is no assembly manual for the complete set; only instructions on how to assemble the carcass and how to install the corresponding hinge individually are provided.
But here lies the problem. I installed the upper door along with the upper hinge as planned, and it fits perfectly; when closed, the door is flush with the carcass at the top.
However, the distance from the middle shelf to the next lower mounting position for the second hinge is significantly greater than the distance from the top of the carcass to the topmost hole of the first hinge below it.
If I now install the second door, it would hang about three centimeters (1.2 inches) lower, leaving a gap between the doors.
It is possible to adjust a few millimeters (inches) using a screw on the hinge, but not such a huge difference!
Is there a master plan for this, or does anyone have a useful tip on how I can properly install the second door?

Many thanks in advance for any information.

Good morning,
I thought the same thing during assembly.
However, it fits exactly as you planned. The top door covers the entire frame completely at the top, while the shelf is definitely covered by both doors in my case. That’s why the distance from the holes to the shelf is larger than the distance from the upper compartment to the frame.
Best regards

Wonderful, thanks for the encouraging tip.
I will start working on it tomorrow.
