Hello,
Unfortunately, I have to bring up the common topic of fitting a dishwasher from a different manufacturer, as I haven’t found clear information online and there seems to be a lot of confusion around this.
We want to buy a METOD kitchen with the GRYTNÄS front plus an 8cm (3 inch) toe kick. The dishwasher is planned to be placed between the sink cabinet and the stove.
We would like to buy a dishwasher. The question is, the measurements should fit well, I tried to compare the dimensions with IKEA dishwashers and didn’t find significant differences. However, I read in another thread that it’s recommended to use an XXL dishwasher. Why is that? Can’t we use the ones I mentioned just as well?
Also, what do I need to install the GRYTNÄS dishwasher front on a Siemens dishwasher?
Best regards
Dexian

So, we decided to turn the dishwasher setting down to the minimum, and then about 5mm (0.2 inches) were still missing for the front panel to open properly. We cut off that part and sealed it with white silicone.
The 5mm (0.2 inches) at the bottom is only noticeable upon close inspection.
