Hello. I want to divide my 9x4m (30x13 feet) living room into two rooms, a dining room and a living room. For this, I would like to install a drywall partition with a door opening. The problem is that I want to place a fairly large double glass sliding door (2x75cm (2x30 inches)) in front of the door opening. One part weighs about 50-60kg (110-132 lbs). Now my question: Can a drywall partition installed afterwards support this weight?

Thank you for the quick response. So you mean I should install the track for the doors directly into the "door profile" of the stud framework, meaning through the double drywall layers, possibly with a V100, and then into the stud profile. That sounds reasonable. Could there be any issues with the ceiling? It is also made of drywall. I’m worried it might come down. Or would a partition wall made of YUTONG blocks be a better option?

1. The drywall ceiling isn’t just hanging in the air; there needs to be something to attach it to. Also, I wouldn’t just screw the studs in the area without a door to the existing ceiling.
2. With an aerated concrete wall, you’re adding a significantly greater amount of weight to the existing floor. It’s necessary to check whether the floor can actually support this.
