Unfortunately, I haven’t found any information on this specific situation here in the forum. What’s the issue? The utility room houses the main connections for electricity, water, and telecommunications through a multi-utility system. The garage is planned to be built in front of the house, partially in front of the utility room, but only after the house is completed. The garage would overlap by about 1–2 meters (3–6.5 feet), since the utility lines could then be routed diagonally to the side underneath the garage. However, the foundation slab will already be poured along with the house’s main slab. Have you had similar experience? Is this feasible with all utility providers? There might be exceptions, at least for water connections.

Can utility providers sometimes reject the subsequent overbuilding of existing lines, even if there is approval from the city? The plans do not show when each building structure will be constructed. We will probably need to discuss this with all parties involved.

You should have received a contract with general terms and conditions from the utility company for the installation of a house connection. This document specifies what is permitted and what is not.
In our location, access to the pipes must be guaranteed at all times. Construction over the lines is not allowed. Any additional work will be charged to the property owner.

Hi, regardless of what is written somewhere... do you know of any case where someone had to access the pipes again later? That might happen in 50-80 years, but then it simply won’t be your problem anymore...
However, I would only build over it once you are sure that all the pipes are leak-proof and in good condition.
