Hello,

The underfloor heating is currently being installed in our new build, and I noticed this bend.

Underfloor heating: white pipes in loops on insulation foil with blue tape marking.

You can feel a narrowing when you press on it.

The architect and heating company say this is fine, but I don’t agree.

Edit: Some info about the heating pipe being used: Empur Klimapex PE-RT 17x2 millimeters (approx. 0.67x0.08 inches).

Thanks in advance.

Best regards

What does protective conduit mean? Is it basically another sheath over the coupling?

Exactly, so that the coupling is decoupled from the screed.

I will address that directly, thanks.
I called Buderus and they are sending someone to the construction site free of charge to take a look at everything,
really great of them.

Got a bit ahead of myself, Buderus called me. The company handling this for me is a client of Buderus, and they don’t want to deceive them or send someone else out.
Well, you don’t see that every day.

mmh, that's unfortunate...

The problem with the whole situation is that when you see a bend like in picture 2 and there have even been three staples at that spot, it means they noticed it and tried to cover it up. Now I have zero trust in them, and when I think that the same people did everything for me, it makes me sick. I’ll call the Chamber of Commerce to see if they can help me.
