Hello,

The underfloor heating is currently being installed in our new build, and I noticed this bend.

Underfloor heating: white pipes in loops on insulation foil with blue tape marking.

You can feel a narrowing when you press on it.

The architect and heating company say this is fine, but I don’t agree.

Edit: Some info about the heating pipe being used: Empur Klimapex PE-RT 17x2 millimeters (approx. 0.67x0.08 inches).

Thanks in advance.

Best regards

In the three loops, the lower two have a slight kink in them.

Well, of course, it’s a matter of interpretation... It’s not ideal, and it will slightly reduce the performance of the pumps. In other words, the water will flow slower at that point, so the pump will need more pressure to maintain a constant flow rate. However, it’s up to you to explain this to the architect or plumber.

First of all, they installed everything completely incorrectly, which is why this issue arose in the first place. The architect and heating engineer are aware of the situation, but for them, everything is obviously fine. Could a building inspector or expert help here?

To be continued, they definitely have no idea what they are doing. I will arrange an appointment with a building inspector.

Several curved white pipes, attached to a silver insulation panel with blue cable ties.

And what exactly is wrong with the pipe?
Can someone please explain to me what non-oxygen-tight means?

Thank you
