Hello, after about three quarters of a year, I finally received the offer for a maintenance contract for our heating system. It is an air-to-water heat pump. What is the general opinion in this forum regarding an annual maintenance contract, and what is the usual cost and what services should be included? The offer is now from the company that installed the heating system on behalf of the general contractor. Are there also options to inquire directly with the manufacturer?

Thank you and best regards

Is there a website where you can compare maintenance services for heat pumps and request quotes? Or is there some kind of "chamber" that represents individual contractors you can contact? I have had bad experiences when reaching out to individual companies and don’t want to have to act like a supplicant.

With Dimplex, everything is handled directly through the manufacturer. The contract is concluded with them, and then local partner companies are assigned to each specific job.

Then you have to wait until the current boom is over. With the market overheating like it is now, it’s only a matter of time. At the moment, heating installers are acting like landlords.

I only took out such a maintenance contract because of the warranty, ...

Yes, same here, and the warranty has already proven its worth. A defective part was replaced without any issues; I need to check what it was. The heat pump completely failed in the middle of a cold winter weekend—worst case scenario—and it definitely paid off. Meanwhile, the system is connected via the internet to both the manufacturer and our plumbing specialist, so they are immediately notified if any faults occur. This cost a one-time fee of 100 EUR.
