Hello everyone, we moved into our new house this month. However, the heating costs seem quite high to me. Is it still due to the drying phase, or are these values reasonable? Here are the key details:
E+D house with 175m² (1884 sq ft) underfloor heating – gas heating + tank
8m² (86 sq ft) solar panels with heating support
Central ventilation system with heat recovery
KfW 62 standard
Currently, the following rooms are heated:
Living and dining 50m² (538 sq ft) – 21°C (70°F)
Bedroom 13m² (140 sq ft) – 18°C (64°F)
Dressing room 8m² (86 sq ft) – 16°C (61°F)
Stairwell, hallway 22m² (237 sq ft) – 16°C (61°F)
Bathroom 11m² (118 sq ft) – 21°C (70°F)
Toilet 5m² (54 sq ft) – 21°C (70°F)
Office 11m² (118 sq ft) – 19°C (66°F)
All other rooms, approximately 50m² (538 sq ft), are not yet heated or are set to frost protection mode. At an outdoor temperature of 0°C (32°F), my daily gas consumption is about 10m³. Does that seem normal?

That's fine... but keep all rooms at around 21°C (70°F). The mechanical ventilation system will circulate the air anyway, which means you're essentially heating the rooms regardless. So, you might as well run the underfloor heating too, which will prevent large temperature differences... something that would actually be counterproductive for your house design.
Hello,

All other rooms, about 50m² (540 sq ft), are not yet heated or are set to the lowest setting. At 0°C (32°F) outside temperature, I have a daily consumption of approximately 10 m³ (350 ft³) of gas. Is that normal?

You just need to check the "quality" of the gas you get; there are also conversion tables from m³ to kWh. Dividing by 24, with a calorific value of 10 kWh/m³ (10 kWh/m³), I get around 4.2 kW thermal output from the gas.
And when I look at my own characteristic curve (25 kWh/m²/year for 152 m² (1635 sq ft)), at your temperature, I am at about 4.5 kW heating capacity. So I would say your consumption fits, since you actually have less (larger area, but partly unheated).
