ᐅ Gable window in the attic?

are gable windows useful in an attic space?
The attic is not insulated.
Such a window is quite good for a little natural light, but the roof window for the chimney sweep actually serves that purpose as well.

A colleague noticed unattractive “water streaks” on the window of a neighboring house; I assume the window does not have a windowsill.

We have also planned two smaller ones (one on the left and one on the right) for "ventilation." It is unclear whether this is useful. Many people also create decorative triangular windows (no idea what those cost).

That’s exactly the point—right now, I’m feeling a bit stingy.

How high is the attic? If it is only going to be used as a storage area, I don’t necessarily think a window is required. However, if other uses are possible (playroom, office), I would plan for a simple gable window to be prepared if needed.
I also find these triangular gable windows way too expensive if the space is just for storage.

The attic is not suitable for conversion, maybe just as a quiet corner.
The floor plan in the version I have does not include dimensions, but from the side view you can estimate the measurements to be approximately 4m x 10m x 1.98m (ceiling height to ridge).

I would also recommend installing one window on each gable side, simply to ensure that the attic space has natural daylight as well as the possibility for proper ventilation.

Our two attic windows (used purely for storage or perhaps occasionally as a space for the slot car track ) have the same exterior windowsills as all the other windows in the house.

However, we decided to save on roller shutters for these two windows, as they seemed completely unnecessary.

We had the interior window sills cut to size at the hardware store and installed them ourselves.
