Hello, all my acquaintances already have one of those fully automatic coffee machines, and now I am considering buying one as well.
How much should I expect to spend, and what features should I pay special attention to?

Best regards, Window

What kind of machine do you have, Karlmann?

Good evening,

The Siemens TE 712501 - although it’s not exactly the cheapest either.
That’s a real bargain compared to what I paid for my first fully automatic machine – a Jura – and the current one, a Nivona.

I am new to this field and own two capsule coffee machines.

This way of making coffee is convenient in the office because I often have to attend meetings on short notice, and the coffee is cold by the time I return. Brewing fresh coffee within seconds is really great, and the capsule quickly ends up in the trash.

At home, however, I would like to replace it since it is not very environmentally friendly.

It should be quiet and easy to clean.

We have a Bosch TES7, which I believe is essentially the same model as the Siemens mentioned. I can generally recommend it—so far it has brewed nearly 1700 milk coffee creations 😀 The brew group can be removed and cleaned... whether you believe it or not, you should do this despite the cleaning program. Once, white mold even started growing there (not too serious since it was after the brew group), but it's definitely helpful to be able to clean it properly by hand.

The downside of this machine is the fairly high amount of plastic used... but on the other hand, it only costs around 800 € (roughly $860) instead of 3000 € (around $3200)—also, I think fully automatic machines made entirely of metal are generally hard to manufacture. This exact machine is no longer available, only the successor model.

You need to understand one thing: once you decide on a fully automatic coffee machine, you will never truly enjoy coffee made another way again! You will even wonder how you ever called coffee from capsules flavorful 😉

The desire for easy cleaning is met by most manufacturers. The wish for a quiet grinder is harder to fulfill because the beans are freshly ground inside the machine. Remember your favorite Italian coffee shop with the amazing fully automatic coffee machine 😀

Of course, there are differences, but only minor ones. For me, this doesn’t really matter because the most important thing is that the coffee tastes good. And I drink a lot of coffee and enjoy it at any time of day or night 😀

So, I will take a look around the market. 🙂

However, I must admit, I really don’t like the coffee from my sister and the neighbor. It must be the coffee itself. 😉
