Hello, all my acquaintances already have one of those fully automatic coffee machines, and now I am considering buying one as well.
How much should I expect to spend, and what features should I pay special attention to?

Best regards, Window

Hello,

I spoke with a professional who said the most important part is the grinder. It should definitely be made of ceramic; there are also devices with plastic grinders, but those break very quickly.

The grind size of the coffee powder is also important; furthermore, the device should be able to work with ground coffee as well.

Hello,

first of all, I have to say that fully automatic coffee machines are a great invention! However, not every machine is worth the money. It’s important to do thorough research beforehand. There are an incredible number of these machines available. We found our machine and are very happy with it: the Siemens TE 712501 – although it’s not exactly the cheapest.

Good luck with your search!

Best regards, Michi

I can well imagine that the original poster has already made a decision after more than five years.

At that time, I also received good advice in the answers...
...from myself.

That really depends on how "demanding" you are... What’s definitely important – as I’ve mentioned a few times already – is the grinder. For us, the key factors were: easy to clean, brewing temperature, it should be quiet (the kids’ room is right next door), and the extra milk frother 😀
It’s best if you take looooooots of time to visit a few local specialists and have them show you all the features in detail, or maybe there’s even a coffee tasting...

Have fun 😀
