Hello, all my acquaintances already have one of those fully automatic coffee machines, and now I am considering buying one as well.
How much should I expect to spend, and what features should I pay special attention to?

Best regards, Window

Exactly 18.7 cents.;) And the coffee is really tasty. 😀

Hello,
we also had a fully automatic coffee machine for several years... then we were on vacation in Italy and there we used a Nespresso machine.
After the vacation, the fully automatic machine was replaced by the Nespresso machine. Since then, I have been enjoying really delicious espresso every day and don’t want to miss it; by the way, this was two years ago.
It also has the unbeatable advantage of being very compact, and we will soon have an open-plan kitchen...

One advantage of capsule machines is definitely the variety of coffee available without any effort. No milk frother needs to be cleaned... there is a separate milk capsule and, depending on the machine, a milk button.
The coffee costs twice as much per cup, but it tastes good and, above all, my office visitors really love it. 😉

Descaling occasionally and that’s it!

Until almost a year ago, we used a pod coffee machine, which was actually quite convenient, especially since the pods could be disposed of in organic waste or even used as fertilizer for plants. When the pod machine eventually broke down, we considered getting a Nespresso, but the price of the capsules and the waste they generate made us hesitate. As fate would have it, we received a DeLonghi fully automatic coffee machine with a separate milk frother for our wedding (the frother can be easily taken apart and placed in the dishwasher).

Once you find your perfect coffee blend, a fully automatic machine is really something special 🙂

Are you aware that it’s not only the milk frother that can harbor bacteria, but the entire brewing area as well? There was a recent very thorough study showing how many bacterial hotspots exist around there...

This should not be underestimated!

That’s why the brew unit in our system can be easily removed and cleaned, which is done regularly 🙂
