Hello, all my acquaintances already have one of those fully automatic coffee machines, and now I am considering buying one as well.
How much should I expect to spend, and what features should I pay special attention to?

Best regards, Window

That’s why the brew group in our machine can be easily removed and cleaned regularly. 🙂

And this brew group can be rinsed weekly. I heard about the report mentioned by @Lexmaul79 and looked into it. For that reason, I avoid public espresso machines that push milk directly through the nozzle. I don’t believe maintenance contracts include monthly cleanings because that would be too costly. So when buying, make sure the brew group is removable. By the way, any kind of water tank where water sits for a longer time is a great breeding ground for germs. This includes common coffee machines where water droplets remain that can’t be easily washed out. So basically, any coffee machine with a water tank! I am a proud owner of a nice DeLonghi mid-range model – so no stomach issues for me 😉

That's why I use a classic drip coffee maker with a removable water tank 😀

However, I also think that the biggest problem is the owners themselves, who simply don’t clean enough and often skip machine maintenance.

At the office, I use a pod coffee machine. I’m quite satisfied with it. I found a type that I like. The ecological aspect isn’t too bad either. When I have coffee on the weekend, it’s either a hand-brewed one or the good old boiled coffee. That still tastes the best! 🙂

You take a cup or pot, fill it with boiling water, then add the ground coffee directly. Stir once, wait a few minutes for the coffee grounds to settle, and then enjoy 😀

Yikes. I prefer my coffee without grounds. 😕
